About BLCI
- WHO DO WE SERVE?
The first-generation, college-bound of San Diego! We work primarily with local Latino students who will be the first in their families to go college.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Prepare kids for a college through FREE academic enrichment, skill building, tutor, mentor, and college exploration and application services designed specifically for our bilingual, bicultural students and their families.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
Dreams start early – so do we! Our programs begin in 3rd grade, allowing us to work closely with each student and family through elementary, middle, and high school, graduation, and college enrollment.
WHEN DO WE DO IT?
After school! Our programs run from 3:00 – 8:00, Monday through Thursday.
WHERE DO WE DO IT?
Right in the community – most of our families are from Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, and Sherman Heights, neighborhoods near downtown San Diego.
WHY DO WE DO IT?
BLCI makes the difference! Our students have the will, passion, and talent to go to college – we provide the training, guidance, and support they need to realize their dreams.
BLCI is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, community-based organization.
Your generosity ensures our success. Thank you for your support.
