About Barrio Logan College Institute
Why Support BLCI? Sponsors of BLCI

In many ways, the odds are against BLCI students.  The Barrio Logan community has a rich cultural history and strong ties to its Mexican-American heritage, but it also has one of the lowest income and education rates in San Diego.

99% of our students are Latino - a population severely underrepresented at the college level in San Diego County
(and throughout the nation).

BLCI Kids Graduate

42% of all high school dropouts in San Diego

99% of our kids are Latino – and they stay in school.

BLCI’s individual relationships with each family, small class size, and bilingual staff help students to overcome cultural, economic, and language barriers and pursue their dreams of academic success.
63% of Latino students complete high school.
100% of BLCI alumni graduate high school.

Over 75% of our alumni are enrolled at 4-year universities. The remainder attends community college.
